This role sits at the intersection of advanced data engineering and AI-native development, focusing on building reliable, scalable, and intelligent data products that power business decisions and AI-driven applications. You will work in a highly modern environment where AI is embedded directly into the software development lifecycle, not just as an add-on. The position involves designing and maintaining robust data architectures, implementing analytical models, and enabling trusted datasets for analytics and AI agents. You will contribute to end-to-end data workflows across lakehouse architectures while ensuring governance, quality, and observability. A key aspect of the role is leveraging AI to accelerate engineering tasks such as coding, testing, debugging, and refactoring. This is a collaborative and innovation-driven environment where data, AI, and software engineering converge to deliver real business impact.

Accountabilities:

  • Develop data transformations and analytical models using modern data platforms such as Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Fabric, and Power BI
  • Build and maintain layered data architectures (Bronze, Silver, Gold) and semantic models aligned with business needs
  • Translate business requirements into scalable data models and define standardized corporate metrics
  • Ensure data quality through testing frameworks, validation processes, and observability practices
  • Support the creation of curated datasets for analytics, reporting, and AI agent consumption
  • Operate within an AI-augmented SDLC, leveraging AI for coding, testing, debugging, and refactoring
  • Design and maintain specifications that guide AI-driven development (spec-driven workflows)
  • Build and orchestrate AI agents capable of multi-step reasoning, tool usage, and workflow execution
  • Promote best practices in data modeling, governance, documentation, and version control
  • Requirements:

    • Strong experience in advanced SQL and data manipulation
    • Solid background in data engineering, data warehousing, and lakehouse architectures
    • Hands-on experience with Databricks and Python for data processing and engineering tasks
    • Strong understanding of data modeling, governance, and data quality principles
    • Experience with Git and collaborative version control workflows
    • Knowledge of SDLC principles and modern software engineering practices
    • Experience using AI tools for code generation, testing, debugging, and refactoring
    • Familiarity with spec-driven development and AI-assisted engineering workflows
    • Experience building or working with AI agents, multi-step workflows, or tool-using systems is a plus
    • Knowledge of MCP (Model Context Protocol) or similar integration frameworks is a plus
    • Experience integrating CI/CD pipelines, APIs, and observability tools is a plus
    • Strong analytical thinking and ability to evaluate and validate AI-generated outputs critically
    • Ability to work in collaborative, fast-paced, and innovation-driven environments
    • Benefits:

      • Health and dental insurance coverage
      • Meal and food allowance (vale alimentação e refeição)
      • Childcare assistance
      • Extended parental leave policies
      • Wellhub (Gympass) and TotalPass partnerships for health and fitness
      • Profit sharing (PLR) program
      • Life insurance coverage
      • Continuous learning platform access (CI&T University)
      • Discounts and partnerships with education and lifestyle platforms
      • Online wellbeing platform supporting physical and mental health
      • Language learning platforms and professional courses
      • Additional wellness, development, and corporate benefits.
