The Impact of the Sr. Data Insights & Analytics Lead to Coupa:

As a senior-level individual contributor within the Talent Strategy team, this role works globally to champion a culture of evidence-based decision-making without the responsibility of direct people management. By transforming complex workforce data into clear, actionable intelligence, this individual empowers the organization to attract, develop, and retain world-class talent.

Reporting to the Senior Director - Organizational Effectiveness, the individual in this role identifies, designs, and implements solutions that fuel scalable growth and streamline processes. Using advanced analytical methods and deep domain expertise, you will be translating complex data into compelling, "executive-ready" narratives and visual presentations that clearly lead to interventions and actions in the business. This position acts as a strategic architect and high-level thought partner, moving beyond reactive reporting to provide predictive insights that anticipate business challenges.

Partnering with HR Business Partners, HR Centers of Excellence, EDE, and business leaders, this position serves as the primary owner of Coupa’s people listening strategy, transforming feedback from global surveys into a roadmap for organizational health. The individual in this role will be instrumental in designing the future of our workforce planning, listening strategies, and organizational effectiveness measurement.

In this dynamic and visible role, the individual in this role will act as a coach and thought partner, a catalyst for a data-driven culture, and a champion for cross-functional collaboration.

What You’ll Do

  1. Project Leadership: Lead complex, cross-functional analytics projects from vision to implementation, focusing on improving key outcomes like retention, engagement, and productivity.

  2. Listening Strategy Architect: Serve as the strategic lead for the Global Employee Listening Program, managing the end-to-end execution of annual and pulse surveys while evolving the strategy across the employee lifecycle.

  3. Executive Storytelling: Translate complex datasets into "executive-ready" narratives and visualizations that drive business interventions and strategic actions.

  4. Data Architecture & Integration: Partner with HRIS and EDE teams to migrate disparate data sources into a unified "single source of truth" (Snowflake/AWS), ensuring rigorous data integrity and governance.

  5. Self-Service Solutions: Design and deploy advanced Tableau dashboards and analytics tools for COE partners and senior leaders to enable "data at the fingertips" and self-service reporting.

  6. Advanced Analytics & AI: Utilize SQL, Python, or R to uncover correlations in structured and unstructured data, while incorporating AI and machine learning best practices to solve workforce challenges.

  7. Strategic Consulting: Coach HRBPs and COEs on data literacy and insights interpretation, providing objective, data-driven feedback to challenge assumptions regarding organizational health.

What You Will Bring to Coupa

    1. Experience & Leadership: 8+ years in HR Analytics, Data Science, or BI, with a proven track record of influencing and providing objective feedback to VPs and senior stakeholders.

    2. Educational Foundation: Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative or behavioral field (CS, Statistics, Economics, or Org Psych) or equivalent professional experience.

    3. Technical Mastery: Advanced SQL and Tableau proficiency required to create "presentation-quality," actionable visualizations for executive consumption.

    4. Advanced Analytics: Hands-on experience using Python or R for statistical modeling of survey data and text analytics for unstructured employee listening data.

    5. Domain Expertise: Deep experience managing organizational data (turnover, recruiting, DEI) and executing large-scale surveys from methodology design through vendor management.

    6. Data Storytelling: Exceptional ability to transform raw, complex analytics into high-impact presentations that drive executive alignment and organizational change.

    7. Global Consulting Mindset: Proven ability to operate independently in complex global environments, acting as a consultative partner to solve business challenges through data.
