Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated, people-focused, and operations-driven Practice Leader to join our team. This leadership role is integral in supporting both the clinical and administrative teams while ensuring smooth daily operations, high-quality service delivery, and a positive practice culture.
This is a hands-on leadership role that combines practice management responsibilities with front desk Patient Care Coordinator support. The successful candidate should be comfortable leading the team while also actively working at the front desk as needed, including scheduling, patient communication, billing support, and day-to-day administrative tasks.
The ideal candidate brings leadership experience, strong communication skills, and a passion for supporting teams in delivering excellent patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations to ensure efficiency, productivity, and a consistently positive patient experience.
- Lead, coach, and mentor administrative and clinical support team members to foster engagement, development, and retention.
- Partner with dentists and clinical leaders to align operations with high-quality patient care and clinical priorities.
- Provide hands-on front desk support in a Patient Care Coordinator capacity, including greeting patients, scheduling appointments, answering phones, managing patient inquiries, processing payments, supporting billing/insurance tasks, and ensuring an excellent patient experience.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs); identify improvement opportunities and implement action plans.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, infection control, and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee scheduling, payroll administration, accounts receivable, and inventory management.
- Support recruitment, hiring, and onboarding of new team members.
- Facilitate effective communication across the practice and promote a culture of teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Handle patient concerns professionally and ensure timely resolution.
- Maintain accurate operational records and contribute to strategic planning and practice growth initiatives.
Qualifications
- Diploma or degree in Business, Office Administration, Healthcare Management, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of management or supervisory experience (dental or healthcare setting preferred).
- Strong leadership, coaching, and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trusted relationships.
- Demonstrated experience overseeing HR functions, including hiring, onboarding, coaching, performance reviews, and managing disciplinary actions or terminations with professionalism and discretion.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, forecasting, scheduling, performance metrics, and operational processes.
- Experience with dental practice management software such as Open Dental, Dentrix, Tracker, Abeldent, Paradigm, Cleardent, or equivalent.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Commitment to compliance, patient safety, and fostering a positive practice culture.
- Flexibility to work varied hours based on practice needs.

Compensation
• Pay Range: $35.00–$41.00 per hour
• Compensation is commensurate with experience and skills.
