Key Responsibilities
AI‑Enabled Content Strategy and Standards
The Senior Manager defines the AI‑first content vision and embeds it into our production operating model. They establish and maintain standards for how we use AI tools (including Synthesia and Articulate Rise) to design and produce content, and ensure these standards align with the Experience Design strategy and broader organisational policies. They design and maintain quality frameworks for accuracy, tone of voice, accessibility, inclusivity, and compliance in AI‑generated content.
Workflow Ownership and Governance
This role leads the full AI‑enabled content production workflow from intake to deployment. The Senior Manager designs and continually refines the production framework, including roles, handoffs, review steps, and risk controls.. They enforce creator governance standards set by the VP Experience Design, including use of approved tools, content review practices, and data protection requirements.
Partnership with VP Experience Design and Creative Manager
This role acts as the primary point of contact for the VP Experience Design on production standards, tooling, and AI‑first ways of working. They translate strategic direction into actionable standards, templates, and processes for the production team. They work closely with the Creative Manager to ensure that AI‑produced content meets not only instructional quality benchmarks, but also visual design, motion, brand, and UX standards. Together, they align on patterns for video, interactivity, and layout across Synthesia and Rise.
Capability Building and Training
The Senior Manager designs and runs the SME and regional team training programme for AI‑enabled content creation. They define curricula, learning journeys, and practice labs that build confidence in prompt writing, scenario design, video scripting for Synthesia, and modular learning design in Rise. They identify skills gaps, track adoption of AI‑first practices, and establish communities of practice where creators and SMEs can share prompts, patterns, and learnings.
Hands‑On Content Design Leadership
While the role is primarily leadership‑focused, the Senior Manager remains hands‑on with complex projects and flagship programmes. They lead the design of high‑impact AI‑first learning journeys and experiences, using Synthesia, Rise, and other AI tools to demonstrate best‑in‑class practice. They model how to prototype quickly using AI, iterate with SMEs, and land experiences that are data‑informed and learner‑centric.
LMS Publishing, Administration, and Governance Compliance
The Senior Manager owns the end-to-end governance framework for publishing AI-produced content to the LMS, ensuring that every piece of content entering the platform meets agreed quality, accessibility, metadata, and compliance standards before it goes live. They define and maintain the content upload protocol, including SCORM or xAPI packaging standards for Rise exports, Synthesia video hosting and embedding conventions, file naming, versioning, and taxonomy tagging requirements.
Data, Insight, and Continuous Improvement
The Senior Manager defines key metrics for AI‑enabled content production, such as cycle time, rework, quality scores, learner engagement, and SME satisfaction. They use these data to optimise workflows, refine prompt libraries, and guide investment in tools and training. They scan the external market for new AI capabilities and make recommendations on experimentation and adoption.
Experience and Skills
The Senior Manager will typically bring significant experience in digital learning, experience design, or content production, ideally in a complex or global environment. They have demonstrable expertise with Synthesia and Articulate Rise, including setting up scalable templates, reusable components, and pattern libraries. They have led teams or large programmes, and are comfortable making high‑stakes decisions about content risk. Strong stakeholder management, change leadership, and communication skills are essential, as is a deep understanding of AI‑enabled authoring, prompt engineering for learning, and LMS governance and publishing standards.
