Summary
Lead delivery of Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) solutions across Application Development (AD) and Application Managed Services (AMS) engagements. The role involves driving implementation, enhancements, and support of LIMS platforms while ensuring integration with enterprise systems (including SAP QM), enabling compliant, scalable, and efficient laboratory and quality operations in regulated industries.
Technical Skills:
Must-Have
Strong experience with LIMS platforms (LabVantage / LabWare / STARLIMS / Thermo Fisher)
Good understanding of laboratory processes (QC / R&D / Stability / Sample Lifecycle)
Experience in AMS delivery (incident, problem, change management, SLA-driven support)
Exposure to end-to-end AD lifecycle (requirements design build test deploy)
Knowledge of SAP QM (Quality Management) – inspection lots, results recording, quality notifications
Understanding of LIMS–SAP QM integration scenarios (quality data, sample results, batch release)
Strong knowledge of SQL / data models / troubleshooting
Experience in testing (SIT/UAT) and validation (CSV, GxP, data integrity)
Good-to-Have
Hands-on experience in LIMS configuration / customization (workflows, master data, forms)
Integration experience with MES / ERP (SAP ECC/S4) / ELN / Instruments
Knowledge of 21 CFR Part 11, ALCOA+, data integrity compliance
Exposure to release management, DevOps tools (Jira, ADO), CI/CD pipelines
Basic scripting / platform-specific extensions (Java/Groovy/DSL depending on LIMS)
Experience in upgrade / migration projects

Key Responsibilities (AMS + AD + SAP QM Focus)
Lead LIMS AMS support ensuring SLA compliance (incidents, service requests, problem management)
Drive minor enhancements and continuous improvement backlog delivery
Participate / lead implementation (AD) projects, including design validation, configuration, and deployment support
Perform root cause analysis (RCA) and drive permanent fixes across LIMS and integrations
Manage release cycles, patching, and environment coordination
Act as a functional bridge between LIMS and SAP QM teams for integration scenarios
Support and troubleshoot quality data flow between LIMS SAP QM (inspection results, batch quality, release decisions)
Ensure alignment of lab processes with enterprise quality processes (SAP QM)
Oversee testing (SIT/UAT) and validation (IQ/OQ/PQ) ensuring compliance with regulatory standards
Support audit readiness, documentation (SOPs), and knowledge management
Collaborate across MES / ERP / LIMS ecosystem for integrated digital manufacturing solutions
Experience & Qualification
3–6 years experience in LIMS / lab systems / digital manufacturing / quality systems
Experience in AMS (support) + AD (implementation/enhancement) engagements
Exposure to SAP QM or enterprise quality management systems
Experience in Pharma / Chemicals / Life Sciences / Manufacturing preferred
Additional Information:
The candidate should have minimum 5 years of experience in Laboratory Information and Execution Systems.
This position is based at multiple locations.
