Microsoft Tech Lead
We’re looking for an experienced Technical Lead to play a pivotal role in designing and delivering modern, scalable software solutions as part of a large enterprise transformation programme.
In this role, you will lead the technical architecture and design of .NET-based applications hosted on Azure, ensuring alignment with business objectives, security standards, and best practices. You will guide and mentor development teams, oversee delivery quality, and drive adherence to engineering standards across the full software development lifecycle within an agile DevSecOps environment.
You will be responsible for resolving technical challenges, mitigating risks, and ensuring the successful implementation of robust, high-performance solutions. Working closely with architects, product owners, and other technical leaders, you will help shape a cohesive and scalable system architecture while promoting reusability and continuous improvement.
Role Description (Technical Lead):
• Leading the technical design and architecture of software applications, ensuring they align with business requirements, best practices, and software development standards.
• Providing guidance and mentorship to the development team, including code reviews, and coaching on technical issues.
• Oversee the development process, ensuring coding standards and development methodologies are followed.
• Resolving technical roadblocks and issues that arise during the development process
• Identifying and mitigating technical risks and challenges in the development process.
• Collaborating with other technical leaders and architects to ensure the overall system architecture is cohesive and scalable
• Staying up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends and advocating for their adoption when appropriate
• Work in an agile DevSecOps environment
• Write new and maintain technical documents and specifications
• Promote re-usability best practices
Required Technologies:
• .NET Core Full Stack (.NET Core Razor Pages, .NET Core MVC, .NET Core Web APIs)
• Azure (API Management, AppServices, Azure Functions, DevOps, Database)
Required Competencies:
• A Technical Lead is expected to have extensive technical knowledge and experience in software development, as well as excellent leadership and communication skills.
• They should be proficient in various programming languages, development frameworks, and tools commonly used in application development.
• Additionally, they should have a good understanding of software development methodologies and best practices, and be able to guide the team in delivering high-quality and scalable software solutions
• Experienced in Software Development and Agile Methodologies.
• Staying up to date with emerging technologies and industry trends and advocating for their adoption when appropriate.
• Experienced in working within an agile DevSecOps environment
• Significant experience in some or all the following Sitefinity, Figma, .Net Frameworks, Database platforms, RESTful API development, Front End Frameworks and Web Development.
• Experience in .NET Core Full Stack
• Experienced in CI/CD and DevSecOps platforms
• Significant experience in building pipelines, deploying and hosting to Azure
• Significant experience in Cloud Technologies and Platforms e.g., Azure
• Experience in application design and architecture
• Experienced in Networking and Server Technologies
• Experienced in secure software design and software security best practice
• Experience in work co-ordination, scheduling, and resource planning
• Ability to manage and co-ordinate stakeholder engagements and meetings
• Experience in incident, change management and transition processes
• Reporting, documentation/writing, and presentation skills
• Excellent Organizational skills
• Experience with a wide range of IT environments, platforms and applications
• IT Qualification - Degree or equivalent work experience
