Sr. Software Development Engineer - Identity Services
The Opportunity
Identity Management Services (IMS) is Adobe's implementation of OAuth 2.0 and Federated ID. We manage the authentication and authorization system for users across all of Adobe’s products and services. As such, security, availability, and UX are paramount.
We have an opening in the SUSI squad (Sign Up / Sign In) which is building the web interface for Adobe Login. As an engineer, your job is to make sure that users are signing seamlessly into Adobe applications. You will contribute to new features while making sure that we keep our 99.99% up-time SLA.
Our technology stack is Java/Spring for backend and JavaScript/React for frontend. We bring to bear AI/ML capabilities including LLMs, timely engineering, and generative AI to improve user experiences. Our DevOps practices include CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (Terraform), containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and cloud-native deployments on AWS.
What you will do
Build & implement new features and performance improvements, while keeping a strong customer focus and high-quality standards
Be part of an agile, highly collaborative and passionate team
Work closely with experience designer and product manager to ensure the product meets customer expectations and adheres to high usability standards
Perform research on various technologies and define architectural improvements, build prototypes or core features as needed
Manage and refine CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code, monitoring, and observability to ensure our 99.99% uptime SLA
Champion DevOps guidelines including automated testing, containerized deployments, and infrastructure automation
What you need to succeed
8+ years industry experience
Excellent knowledge of web standards and technologies (HTML, CSS, Javascript, HTTP)
Proficient in developing Java/Spring web services based on cloud services (ex. AWS)
Object-oriented build principles and build patterns, algorithmic and logical skills
Solid foundation in software engineering process: unit testing, build automation, continuous integration, etc.
Experience with DevOps tools: CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation)
Familiarity with AI/ML concepts, including working with LLMs, timely crafting of inputs, and integrating AI-powered features into production applications
Passionate about computer science, developing software and internet applications
Enjoys technical challenges and is capable of proposing and evaluating a solution against requirements
Good written and verbal communication skills

Knowledge of React
Full stack development
Hands-on experience with generative AI, LLM APIs (e.g., OpenAI, Anthropic)
Experience with Kubernetes orchestration, service mesh, and cloud-native monitoring tools (NewRelic, Prometheus, Grafana)
Experience with security features such as anomaly detection, fraud prevention, or intelligent authentication
