The Opportunity
Join Adobe as a Senior Software Development Engineer in Bucharest, Romania, and be part of a team that is pushing the boundaries of (AEM) Adobe Experience Manager! This opportunity allows you to collaborate with skilled individuals and contribute to world-class projects that have a substantial effect.
What you'll Do
Build, develop, and maintain high-quality software solutions using Java.
Collaborate closely with multi-functional teams to successfully implement new features and improve existing ones.
Use AI‑assisted capabilities within the engineering platform, integrate AI‑based analysis and decision support into release systems, understand limitations and failure modes, develop safeguards, fallbacks, human‑in‑the‑loop controls, ensure traceability, observability, accountability, evaluate AI behaviour over time including correctness, regressions, unintended effects.
Develop AI-first services that allow our customers to harness existing data sources or CMS solutions to build outstanding, highly personalized experiences for their clients.
Engage in devops practices, using containerization, cloud services, and end-to-end delivery automation.
Guarantee seamless delivery and ongoing support of Adobe Experience Manager products.
What you need to succeed
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering, or at least 5 years of experience considered equivalent.
AI fluency is a core expectation. AI is part of normal engineering practice, applied with judgment, safeguards, and accountability in release‑critical paths. We're looking for practical, production‑grade AI fluency, not experimentation.
Proven expertise in Java development. Experience with Spring Framework and various persistence layers is regarded as a plus.
Hands-on experience with AEM/Sling ecosystem, including OSGi services, Sling Models, and HTL, is a major advantage.
Solid knowledge of devops approaches and tools: Kubernetes, AWS or Azure, and CI/CD pipelines.
Preferred qualifications: Advanced degrees and additional certifications in related fields are a plus.
