Job Description:

Qualification: Master's degree (or equivalent) in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering

Year of Experience : preferably at least 2-3 years or PhD degree

AIRBUS INDIA is looking for an innovative Aerodynamics Engineer to join the Aerodynamics team based in Bangalore, India. We are a group of passionate, highly skilled and dynamic aerodynamics engineers. It is part of the Flight Physics Department within Airbus India Engineering. 

 

Flight Physics Mission

Flight Physics delivers optimized overall aircraft solutions for the customer preferred aircraft through driving and developing world class Flight Physics solutions at the core of Airbus aircraft architecture and integration. We are the actors in shaping the future of sustainable aviation. 

Brief Description :

• You will be involved in the design and analysis of aerodynamics shapes. 

• You will be required to design aerodynamics shapes, determine their aerodynamics characteristics using data for CFD, wind tunnel testing, and flight testing; and validate numerical results. You will be expected to ensure aerodynamics specifications are answered  in an integrated manner by developing and maintaining technologies, methods and skills.

• The aerodynamics team takes part in all stages of aircraft design: R&T, preliminary design, detailed design, product improvement and in service support. 

 

Your boarding pass:

• A passion for aircraft with 2+ years of experience

• Strong background in external aerodynamics (low speed and transonic) 

• Strong background in CFD tool chain with focus on external aerodynamics

• Design experience with CAD tools (CATIA)

• Basic programming skills (Python / Matlab)

• An inquisitiveness to understand, challenge and improve

• Aptitude for complex problem solving and innovation 

• Overall understanding of data analytics, Machine learning

• Excellent communication and presentation skills

• High focus on team work and collaboration 

• Willingness to travel internationally for longer duration
