Sr. Software Development Engineer, Publisher Decision Engine
Lead the technical vision for Amazon Ads Publisher Technology as we build next-generation ad monetization systems across Alexa, Prime Video,
Twitch, Freevee, and FireTV. As a Senior Software Development Engineer on the Publisher Decision Engine (PDE) Ad Flow team, you'll drive
architectural decisions, mentor engineers, and deliver high-impact solutions that generate billions in revenue for Amazon's premier content
platforms.
This is a rare opportunity to shape the foundation of supply-side advertising technology at Amazon scale. You'll tackle some of the most
challenging problems in ad tech—real-time optimization, distributed systems at massive scale, and intelligent decisioning—while building a team

Key job responsibilities
What you'll do:
• Own architecture and technical strategy for systems processing billions of ad requests daily
• Lead cross-team initiatives building scalable solutions for inventory monetization and yield optimization
• Drive technical excellence through design reviews, code reviews, and engineering best practices
• Mentor engineers and help them grow their technical skills and careers
• Partner with product, science, and business teams to translate complex requirements into elegant solutions
• Make high-judgment decisions on technology choices and system design that impact the organization

- 5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience
- 5+ years of leading design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- Experience as a mentor, tech lead or leading an engineering team- 5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
