AWS Content & Channel Technology (CCT) powers the digital marketing infrastructure for AWS in China, enabling marketing teams to reach customers through intelligent content creation, multi-channel distribution, and automated campaign orchestration. Our team builds and operates the technology backbone that connects AWS services with Chinese customers — from chatbots and event platforms to identity verification and notification systems. We combine deep domain expertise with agentic AI to turn complex marketing operations into scalable, self-improving systems. To support AWS China's rapidly evolving marketing technology needs, we are looking for talented software development engineers who thrive at the intersection of AI, cloud infrastructure, and business operations. If you are excited about building autonomous agents that replace manual toil, designing MCP-powered tools that marketing teams use daily, and shipping production services that directly drive customer engagement metrics, we'd love to talk.
Key job responsibilities
We are looking for software engineers who are passionate about designing, building, and operating AI-native marketing technology services for the AWS China market. You will own full-stack services spanning content intelligence (AI-powered content generation and distribution), customer communication platforms (email, SMS, chatbot), event management systems. You will architect and deliver MCP servers that expose domain capabilities as composable tools for AI agents, enabling both internal teams and autonomous workflows to operate at scale. You are expected to be a technical leader who partners closely with marketing stakeholders to translate business intent into production-quality systems, while maintaining operational excellence across 6+ production services with gold-badge CI/CD pipelines. Your work will have direct, measurable impact on customer acquisition, engagement, and retention for AWS China.
A day in the life
As a member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for the complete software development cycle, including design, implementation, testing, and operations in an agile environment. We are always drive building up the system for AWS China business from scratch, which there is a wide platform for engineers to demonstrate your technical skill to help directly to business and with the visibility from leadership of AWS China and AWS China operation partner. We encourage team member work closely with each other and contribute on the fast pace delivery.
In this role, a commitment to teamwork, customer focus, and strong communication skills (for both technical and business partners) are absolute requirements. We're building reliable, scalable, and high-performance services, so we expect you to have exceptional technical expertise, a sound understanding of Computer Science fundamentals, and are eager to work with large-scale distributed systems.
In this role you will work with cross-function team including local business and function team, local operation partner team and several global team which provide support to us to achieve the goal.

- 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience
- 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- Experience programming with at least one software programming language- 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
