  • Execution oversight in partnership with the Digital Capabilities Manager: ensure work is properly “racked and stacked,” prioritized, and resourced; surface risks and escalate when required.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to visualization engineers, technicians, software developers, and AI/ML engineers; coach on best practices, standards, and professional growth.
  • Perform hands-on technical work as required: participate in scanning trips, help design/validate additive manufacturing processes, write/peer-review code, and assist troubleshooting during demonstrations.
  • Oversee the development and maintenance of standard approaches for additive manufacturing, 3D scanning/metrology, data workflows, and software deployment to ensure repeatability and quality.
  • Oversee lab operations and compliance across AVID and REP: SOPs, safety plans, training programs, asset lifecycle, configuration baselines, and audit artifacts.
  • Oversee procurement strategy for Digital Capabilities: hardware, software licenses, cloud and on-prem resources, and consumables; partner with procurement and vendors for favorable outcomes.
  • Coordinate with Security, Facilities, IT, and Procurement to implement secure lab access, network segmentation, backup, and disaster recovery procedures supporting digital engineering assets.
  • Coordinate program-level documentation: runbooks, build recipes, release notes, training materials, and technical documentation used by internal teams and customers.
  • Identify opportunities to automate routine tasks, improve lab and delivery efficiency, and adopt new tools/techniques (AI/ML, digital thread, CI/CD for models and tools).
