We are seeking an experienced Engineer Project Team Leader to lead and deliver complex, cross-functional engineering projects.

The Opportunity

In this role, you will define project scope to address key business challenges and opportunities while leading delivery across multiple functions. You will coordinate resources across sales, marketing, product development, value chain, and manufacturing to ensure successful project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead multiple or complex engineering projects from concept through to delivery
  • Oversee project timelines, costs, risks, and overall performance
  • Communicate project status effectively with stakeholders and cross-functional teams
  • Lead, coach, and develop project team members
  • Oversee development activities across multiple product lines
  • Establish and improve processes for product planning, development, and delivery cycles
  • Drive alignment across product and service groups, ensuring understanding of interdependencies
  • Monitor regulatory and environmental requirements impacting projects
  • Identify and resolve technical and operational challenges

What You Will Bring

  • Ideally degree qualified in Engineering (Mechanical/Electrical preferred), or with substantial experience and demonstrated expertise in a comparable technical role or environment.
  • Strong experience delivering complex engineering projects in heavy industry, particularly within mining, mobile plant, or heavy vehicle environments, or closely related sectors with comparable operational and equipment complexity
  • Solid understanding of project management methodologies (e.g. Lean, Six Sigma, Agile)
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders
  • Experience across the full product lifecycle, from concept through to production
  • Demonstrated capability in developing processes, standards, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Strong technical problem-solving skills, including resolving complex product or system challenges
  • Experience mentoring and developing others
  • Clear, practical communication style with the ability to engage across all levels
