Product Compliance Engineer

Located just outside of Oslo, our Devices innovation center is home to 300+ passionate engineers working across hardware, software, mechanics, audio, media processing and artificial intelligence – from concept to product. We strive to develop best-in-class video conferencing experiences by bringing together diverse engineering teams under one roof.

The Cisco Lysaker Compliance team is looking for a compliance engineer with experience in safety, EMC, radio and sustainable design, testing and certification. You will join a team with expert compliance engineers and also be part of multi-functional project teams developing the next Cisco collaboration products, from early sketches to market-ready product.

In this role, you will:

  • Work on development of Cisco video products, with focus on their safety, EMC and radio functionality.

  • Perform the relevant compliance tests on prototypes in our internal labs.

  • Be responsible for a product's global certification, both before and after market launch.


 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science + 5 years of related experience.

  • Experience with product approval/certification.

  • Fluent in English.


 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Product design and test based on standards IEC 62368-1 (or 60950-1) for safety, EN 55032/35 and the EN 61000 series for EMC and global certification for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth.

  • Proven experience with development and prototyping of electronic systems.

  • Knowledge of Python and/or C programming.

  • Enjoy working in diverse technical teams and sharing your knowledge.
