As a Customer Engineer (CE), you will partner with technical business teams to differentiate Google Cloud to customers. You will serve as the customers’ primary technical partner and trusted advisor, engaging in technical conversations to understand their business issues. In this role, you will focus on three main areas: security intelligence (collecting and analyzing security telemetry to identify emerging threats), security analytics (building and deploying machine learning models to automate security operations), and security research (conducting research on emerging security threats). You will focus on identifying, pursuing, and securing new business workloads, driving engagement within existing ones.

Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 6 years of experience with cloud-native architecture in a customer-facing or support role.
- 5 years of experience in security in a customer-facing or technical sales engineering role.
- Experience engaging with, or presenting to, technical stakeholders or executive leaders.
- Experience in cybersecurity matters like threat detection, malware intelligence, cloud security posture management, incidence response.
- Ability to communicate in English and Spanish fluently to support client relationship management in Spain.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience driving the entire sales cycle (e.g., defining the delivery and consumption plan and transitioning it for execution).
- Experience migrating applications and services to cloud platforms.
- Experience promoting technical solutions in one or more of the following: infrastructure modernization, application modernization, data management, data analytics, Cloud AI, networking, migrations, security.
- Experience with security concepts (e.g., encryption, identity management, access control, attack vectors, pen testing).
- Broad product and solution knowledge of market trends in the cybersecurity industry such as ransomware, attack frameworks, zero trust.
