Senior Software Engineer, Infrastructure, GDC Host Network Functions

The GDC Host Network Functions team provides technologies empowering host networking & offload features, telco network functions, and delivering fully-featured, robust, and performant network foundations for GDC customer workloads. Our team is dedicated to revolutionizing Kubernetes networking experiences, providing connectivity and network performance for AI, Retail, Telecom, and Enterprise customers on the GDC platform.Google Cloud accelerates every organization’s ability to digitally transform its business and industry. We deliver enterprise-grade solutions that leverage Google’s cutting-edge technology, and tools that help developers build more sustainably. Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages such as C++ or Go.
- 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
- 3 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture.
- Experience with SDN controllers, network virtualization, and network function virtualization, as well as with Kubernetes networking concepts.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
- 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
- Experience with low-level system software, Linux kernel networking stack, network, crypto APIs.
