Principal Architect, Higher Education, Google Public Sector
As part of the Customer Engineering organization in Google Public Sector, you will work with cross-functional teams of experts to help customers design, plan, implement, and govern cloud strategies in the public sector space.
The Google Public Sector Principal Architect role is a hybrid technical and business advisor role. In this role, you will exhibit executive level qualities, lead the conversation, and direct the execution of the Sales team by combining both technical direction and business insight. You will partner with Value Engineering to articulate the true total value of each technical solution and the overall business partnership with Google Public Sector.Google Public Sector brings the magic of Google to the mission of government and education with solutions purpose-built for enterprises. US: $152000 - $222000 (USD) + 42.86% bonus target + bonus + equity + benefits

Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
- 10 years of experience as an enterprise architect or equivalent experience in a customer-facing role.
- Experience with higher education markets in the state of California.
- Experience in cloud market insights and cloud computing across applications, infrastructure, storage, platforms, or data.
- Experience engaging with, and presenting to, technical stakeholders and executive leaders.
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience designing, building and working with generative and agentic AI solutions.
- Experience with structured Enterprise Architecture practices in hybrid cloud deployments and on-premise-to-cloud migration deployments and roadmaps.
- Experience in building, architecting, and designing/implementing highly distributed global cloud-based systems.
- Knowledge of technology solutions with the ability to learn and work with new emerging technologies, methodologies, and solutions in the Cloud/IT technology space.
