26-085.B - Operator - Control Board

Harvest Midstream · F - UT (Vernal)

Job Objective:
Monitors, maintains, and controls the safe, healthy and environmentally sound operations of the gas /oil pipelines.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Reviews and monitors prior shift logs and read-ups, to check for accuracy, daily computer log and scan process board. 
  • Monitors and maintains operations by measuring and regulating plant throughput and liquid recovery.
  • Communicates with Gas/Liquid schedulers to maintain nominations.
  • Perform maintenance on plant processing and compression equipment; and/or supporting maintenance and I&E.
  • Ordering and maintaining parts and consumables.
  • Communicate with customers and sales points to ensure products continue to move as nominated.   
  • Monitors and maintains pipeline by conducting studies and inspections. 
  • Ensure operation of equipment by completing preventive maintenance requirements, following manufacturer’s instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, calling for repairs, maintaining equipment inventories, and evaluating new equipment and techniques. 
  • Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications. Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results, as needed. 
  • Maintains safe and healthy work environment by practicing pipeline standards, adhering to legal regulations, and conducting inspections. 
  • Monitors and maintains logs of meter readings, test results, and adjustments made. 
  • Supports company vision and mission. 
  • Adheres to established work schedule, attendance standards and is punctual to work and meetings. 
  • Ability to be available 24 hours per day (on call for questions, emergencies, etc.). 
  • Maintains employee confidence and protects company assets, including intellectual property, by keeping information confidential. 
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. 
  • All Other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • Five (5) years minimum oil and gas plant and pipeline experience, experience in both Gas and Liquid pipeline operations.
  • Experience operating/maintaining/troubleshooting pumps, compressors, and associated controls.
  • Experience with Lock-out/Tag-out, JSA/JHA, and project oversight.
  • Ability to conduct basic and routine maintenance while utilizing hand tools, man-lifts, skid-steers, etc.
  • Ability to accurately solve problems. 
  • Experience with LDAR and leak repairs.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, other departments, officials, and the public. 
  • Ability to perform work assignments with little or no supervision. 
  • Ability to complete multiple, diverse tasks of differing priorities. 
  • Ability to accurately perform tasks. 
  • Good written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Ability to work effectively with different trucking groups that transport product. 
  • Proficiency in the use and application of the following software: Microsoft Office (Excel, Word & Outlook). 
  • Ability to make independent, rational decisions, as required. 
  • Ability to maintain the integrity of the plant process. 
  • Ability to work alone and highly motivated. 
  • Ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle in and around process areas. Ability to consider safety in all decisions. 
  • Ability to operate a motor vehicle in adverse weather conditions and environments.
  • Self-starter, team player, and comfortable working under pressure. 

Education Requirements, Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations:

  • Graduation from a high school or GED equivalent or any equivalent combination of education and experience demonstrating sufficient knowledge, ability and skill to handle the duties and responsibilities of the position.
