Software Developer - Architect

Oracle · United States

Our Approvals platform is undergoing a fundamental transformation — moving from legacy, rule-based BPM workflows to an intelligent, agentic system that can reason through complexity and automate decisions at scale. We're looking for a hands-on Staff AI/ML Architect to lead that transformation. This is a building role. You'll design and own the prompting and orchestration layer on top of foundation models, architect multi-agent approval workflows, and lead fine-tuning efforts where off-the-shelf behavior isn't enough. You'll work directly with the engineering team — pairing, debugging, and shipping — and serve as the team's primary driver of LLM adoption in production. The right candidate has 4–5+ years of hands-on ML experience, has shipped LLM-powered systems to production, and knows the difference between prompt-engineering around a problem and actually fine-tuning a model when it matters. Experience modernizing or replacing BPM systems is a strong plus.
