Robb Report: Senior Social Media Editor

Robb Report’s editorial staff comprises 20+ talented writers, editors, and designers, including print and digital staff. Together, the team produces 10-12 magazines each year and hundreds of digital stories every month. Robb Report is seeking a creative, analytical, and highly motivated social media editor to elevate our presence across all social platforms. This role is ideal for someone with a deep understanding of the lifestyle space, a reporter’s eye for compelling stories, and the ability to drive engagement through innovative content strategies. The ideal candidate will be an adept storyteller with a proven track record of growing brand audiences and an enthusiasm for keeping Robb Report at the forefront of social media.
This position reports to the Digital Director.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the senior social media manager to strategize, execute, and support Robb Report’s social media presence across platforms, especially but not limited to Instagram and TikTok.
- Use data and analytics to develop and maintain a content calendar and posting schedule aligned with brand goals and seasonal trends.
- Deliver pithy, authoritative, and shareable posts that engage our audience, and consistently gain followers.
- Engage with and respond to audiences on all platforms, ensuring Robb Report remains central to conversations around luxury, lifestyle, and premium content.
- Create original content series, hashtags, and innovative campaigns that resonate with new audiences, broadening our market reach.
- Analyze, interpret, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as engagement rates, impressions, video watch times, and click-through rates to refine and optimize strategies.
- Work closely with editors to align social content with editorial goals, monitor social trends, and make real-time recommendations to engage users and drive traffic.
- Collaborate with the video department to produce and execute high-quality social video content on a consistent basis.
- Maintain cultural sensitivity and awareness, ensuring content resonates with a global luxury audience.
- Work occasionally with the Integrated Marketing and Client Services teams to plan and execute sponsored content and branded campaigns.
- Manage live social media coverage at events to maximize engagement and enhance Robb Report's presence in the luxury space.
- Stay at the forefront of social innovation, exploring new channels, formats, and trends to ensure Robb Report remains ahead of the curve.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of social media experience, ideally with media, lifestyle publications, or editorial-focused roles.
- Strong understanding of social media strategies for traffic growth and engagement, including experience with SEO principles as they apply to social content.
- Demonstrated creativity in content ideation, series development, and innovative social campaigns.
- Proficiency with social media management and analytics tools (e.g., Later, True Anthem, Google Analytics, Sprinklr, CrowdTangle).
- Proven track record of increasing brand audience and engagement through data-driven content strategies.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage workflows, timelines, and communication across departments.
- Flexibility with hours, as off-shift and weekend work may be required for live event coverage.
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, with an understanding of Meta’s publishing tools (e.g., Branded Content Tool, Audience Optimization Tool) for content promotion and partnership integration.
- Basic photo/graphic/video editing skills a plus (Adobe Suite)
A good faith estimate of the salary range is $90,000 - $100,000 upon hire. Factors that could be used to determine your actual salary may include your specific skills, years of experience and comparison to current employees already in this role.
