POSITION SUMMARY:

We are looking for a Product Success Engineer to join our fast-growing team in San Diego. The Product Success Engineer will work to support different products throughout the various stages of development and production. The ideal candidate would be able to resolve and document product issues and will be self-motivated with the ability to work independently to meet product milestones.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: 

  • Requires 80 % time in office (5 days a week)
  • Willingness for domestic travel as needed (approx. 5-10%)
  • Assist with the development of Technical Documentation in conjunction with our India team.  
    • Assist PM department with PRD development.
    • Install & Repair SOPs (Standard Operating procedures).
    • Product use SOPs
  • Assist with hardware design issues such as 
    • Product design
    • Custom cable designs
    • Manufacturing and cable drawings
  • Hands on Installation support and product testing at friendly customers
  • Work with Product management to review and contribute to product requirements for new products
  • Assist with development of internal procedures and processes
  • Domestic travel as required for product support issues. Less than 10%
  • Unusual Hours may be required at times to work with our India team
    • Flexible working hours are granted, however interfacing with engineering teams in India may require early morning (7:00 am) or nightly (9:00 pm) meetings
  • General assistance to the team as time allows
  • 2 + years of experience working in a professional product development environment
  • Good communication skills and the ability to work with other groups within the company
  • Familiar with test equipment such as Volt/Ohm Multimeters & Oscilloscopes
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently to meet product milestones

 

PREFERED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Test Engineering background a plus
  • Experience with product testing and development
    • Ability to read design schematics and understanding basic circuit analysis
  • Root cause analysis debugging skills for both Hardware and Software are a big plus
  • Familiarity with Microsoft office products such as MS Word, Excel and Power Point
  • Familiarity with Linux OS a plus
    • Terminal Command line Interface
    • Ability to read and understand error messaging and debug software issues
  • Basic scripting programing a plus (Python and Bash)
  • Familiarity with SQL/AWS database queries (Postgres and MySQL) a big plus
  • Familiarity with Cellular phone testing a plus
  • Familiarity with 3D printers/CAD is a plus
  • Assist with custom cable designs and mechanical drawings a plus
  • Running Linux scripts to update new software and configurations onto devices a plus
  • Testing and Validations of Application code for mobile phones a plus 
  • Experience with JIRA (Project Ticket Tracking) and Confluence (PRD and Knowledge base) a plus
  • Ability to figure out pinouts on various 3rd party external cameras and build a prototype adapter cable is a plus
San Diego Pay Range
$70,000—$95,000 USD
