Staff Software Engineer

Recorded Future's Security Intelligence platform is used by organizations around the world to stay ahead of threats. The Users team owns the tools and services that power user access, account management, and administration for both internal staff and enterprise customers. We are looking for a Staff Software Engineer to join this team and take real ownership of the frontend surfaces we build and maintain.

What You'll Do:

  • You'll be building new features and maintaining existing React applications, with GraphQL as the primary way we communicate with our backends.
  • Part of our codebase is still being migrated from legacy jQuery to React, so some familiarity with jQuery is useful for that transition period.
  • You'll take ownership of quality end-to-end: verifying that your work integrates correctly with your teammates' work, writing tests, and contributing to our Playwright test suite.
  • At this level we expect you to go beyond your own delivery. You'll challenge requirements when something doesn't add up, propose better solutions, share knowledge actively, and help colleagues grow.

What You'll Bring:

  • Strong hands-on experience with React and modern JavaScript/TypeScript
  • Experience writing GraphQL from the frontend (queries, mutations, fragments)
  • A quality-first mindset, comfortable writing tests and owning your own QA
  • Experience with Playwright or similar end-to-end testing tools
  • Ability to read and work in unfamiliar codebases
  • Wide-ranging experience that lets you resolve complex problems creatively and independently
  • Good communication skills and a collaborative attitude across a cross-functional team

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Comfort using AI tools to improve day-to-day development workflows.
  • Familiarity with Apollo or GraphQL Federation
  • Background in security tooling or enterprise SaaS products
  • Experience in technical leadership or setting technical direction within a team
