This senior technical leadership role is responsible for shaping the global electrical design strategy for mission-critical data center infrastructure. It sits at the intersection of engineering excellence, innovation, and large-scale infrastructure delivery, with a strong focus on standardization, resilience, and cost optimization. The role influences end-to-end design decisions across multiple regions, ensuring alignment between global reference designs and local execution requirements. Acting as a key subject matter expert, it drives consistency across electrical engineering practices while enabling innovation in high-density, high-availability environments. It also plays a pivotal role in coordinating multidisciplinary stakeholders, from design partners to operations and procurement teams. Accountabilities
Lead the global electrical engineering direction for reference data center designs, ensuring alignment with mission-critical standards, operational resilience, and cost efficiency.
- Own and evolve global electrical reference designs, including equipment selection, configuration standards, and design methodologies
- Lead multidisciplinary design management across architectural, MEP, and engineering stakeholders for global data center projects
- Evaluate and integrate emerging technologies and innovations into reference designs and design roadmaps
- Provide technical leadership to regional design teams for implementation of standardized design packages
- Collaborate with procurement, operations, and commercial teams on equipment selection, lifecycle planning, and cost optimization
- Oversee design governance, ensuring compliance with global standards, local regulations, and business requirements
- Manage external consultants and design partners, ensuring high-quality delivery of design packages and documentation
- Drive continuous improvement of design tools, processes, and reference models across global programs
- 7+ years of experience in electrical design within data centers, mission-critical facilities, or complex infrastructure environments
- Strong expertise in electrical systems design, including LV switchgear, UPS systems, and power distribution architectures
- Experience working with global or multi-regional engineering standards and regulatory frameworks
- Background in MEP design coordination and multidisciplinary engineering delivery
- Advanced understanding of electrical codes, construction practices, and data center reliability requirements
- Proven ability to lead technical discussions with internal and external stakeholders across global teams
- Experience managing design consultants, technical partners, and engineering delivery schedules
- Strong communication, leadership, and decision-making skills in complex engineering environments
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, with professional engineering designation preferred
