The Software Developer in Test (SDET) is part of the Caseware team. Our platform streamlines and automates many of the daily tasks performed by accountants, auditors, and tax professionals around the world. It also enables the development of additional applications, add-ins, and extensions to support the needs of these professionals across industries worldwide.
What you will do:
Design, implement, and maintain automated test frameworks for Caseware's web-based SaaS products.
Execute and coordinate functional, integration, regression, and exploratory testing.
Collaborate with developers and product specialists to refine user stories, acceptance criteria, and improve testability.
Analyze requirements and technical designs to identify risk areas and critical test scenarios.
Investigate, document, and track defects, providing clear reproduction steps and impact analysis.
Continuously improve test coverage, test reliability, and overall QA processes.
Mentor and coach junior SDET team members.
Promote and advocate quality best practices across the engineering organization.
What you will bring:
Mid-level experience (3–5 years) in QA, Test Automation, or SDET roles.
Proven experience testing complex web applications, preferably SaaS products.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with a structured approach to problem-solving.
Hands-on experience with modern test automation tools and frameworks, specifically Cypress.
Solid understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
Ability to write clear, maintainable, and well-structured test cases and automation code.
Comfortable working within cross-functional, international teams.
Strong coordination skills and the ability to foster a quality-first mindset across the team.
Professional proficiency in both Dutch and English.
Nice to have:
- Experience in auditing, accounting, financial reporting, or compliance software.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions) and Atlassian products such as Jira and Confluence.
- ISTQB or other QA-related certifications.
- Knowledge of cloud platforms and modern web architectures.
- Experience contributing to test strategies and quality improvement initiatives.
