Senior Cisco CUCM Engineer

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Cisco CUCM Engineer based in Brazil.

This is a senior-level infrastructure engineering role focused on supporting and evolving complex enterprise voice and virtualized environments for a global client base. You will act as a technical expert across Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM), virtualization platforms, and digital workspace infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance of mission-critical systems. The role involves deep troubleshooting, architecture support, and hands-on engineering across multi-layered environments. You will work in a remote, international setup, collaborating with global teams to resolve complex incidents and deliver infrastructure improvements. This position is ideal for a highly experienced engineer who thrives in high-pressure environments where reliability, precision, and technical depth are essential. You will also contribute to designing scalable infrastructure solutions that support enterprise communication and virtualization needs.

Accountabilities

  • Manage, support, and optimize enterprise voice and unified communications environments, with a strong focus on Cisco Unified Communications Manager (CUCM) and related infrastructure.
  • Provide advanced troubleshooting and resolution for complex, multi-system infrastructure issues across voice, virtualization, and end-user computing platforms.
  • Administer and support VMware environments, including vCenter and vSphere, managing ESXi hosts, vMotion, HA/DRS configurations, and virtual machine lifecycle operations.
  • Support Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD) or Citrix DaaS environments, including Delivery Controllers, StoreFront, ADC/NetScaler, machine catalogs, and VDA troubleshooting.
  • Participate in the design and implementation of infrastructure solutions, ensuring scalability, reliability, and alignment with enterprise requirements.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional and international teams to support IT operations, incident resolution, and infrastructure improvement initiatives.
  • Contribute to documentation, standardization, and best practices for infrastructure management and service delivery.
  • Requirements

    • 8+ years of IT infrastructure engineering experience in enterprise environments.
    • Strong hands-on expertise with Cisco CUCM and enterprise unified communications systems.
    • Advanced experience with VMware vCenter and vSphere, including ESXi administration, clustering, HA/DRS, and distributed virtual switches.
    • Strong experience with Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops (CVAD) or Citrix DaaS, including troubleshooting and architecture knowledge.
    • Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex infrastructure issues across multi-platform environments.
    • Experience designing and implementing enterprise-grade infrastructure solutions.
    • Strong communication skills in English (mandatory), with the ability to work effectively in international, client-facing environments.
    • Experience in MSP or ITIL-based service environments is an advantage, along with exposure to enterprise storage, Active Directory, Okta, firewalls, and backup/DR solutions.
