This is a senior-level technical role responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting high-availability enterprise infrastructure environments that directly impact business-critical systems. In this position, you will work on large-scale Linux-based platforms supporting high transactional workloads across production and development systems. You will play a key role in ensuring system reliability, performance, security, and scalability across complex environments spanning on-prem and cloud infrastructure. The role combines deep hands-on engineering with architectural influence, problem-solving ownership, and operational excellence. You will collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams while also mentoring junior engineers and promoting best practices. This is a highly impactful position suited for someone who thrives in enterprise environments and enjoys solving complex infrastructure challenges.

Accountabilities:

  • Design, implement, configure, and support enterprise-grade Linux (RHEL) systems, including servers, operating systems, and supporting infrastructure components across production and non-production environments.
  • Analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex system issues, identifying root causes and implementing both short-term fixes and long-term remediation strategies.
  • Support infrastructure reliability and compliance initiatives, including system baselines, security standards, audit readiness, and configuration governance.
  • Participate in application and infrastructure design reviews, ensuring non-functional requirements are met and proposing scalable infrastructure solutions.
  • Develop and maintain automation, scripting, and infrastructure-as-code solutions to improve system efficiency, scalability, and operational consistency.
  • Support containerized and virtualized environments, including Kubernetes-based platforms and Proxmox, as well as at least one major cloud platform.
  • Collaborate with DevOps and engineering teams to support CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitHub, Jenkins, Ansible, and Terraform.
  • Provide technical leadership for small-scale projects and infrastructure initiatives, ensuring successful delivery and alignment with architectural standards.
  • Mentor junior systems engineers and contribute to knowledge sharing, documentation, and best practices across the team.
  • Ensure high availability, performance, and security of enterprise systems supporting critical business functions.
  • Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
    • 5–7+ years of experience in systems engineering or infrastructure engineering within medium to large enterprise environments.
    • Strong expertise in Linux administration, with deep knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) systems.
    • Hands-on experience supporting large-scale environments (hundreds to thousands of hosts).
    • Solid understanding of container platforms such as Kubernetes and virtualized environments such as Proxmox.
    • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
    • Strong scripting and automation skills using tools such as Bash, Ansible, Terraform, GitHub, Jenkins, and PowerShell.
    • Deep understanding of enterprise security principles, including IAM, authentication/authorization, SSH, certificates, encryption (KMS), and compliance frameworks (CIS, SOX, PCI).
    • Experience supporting enterprise application stacks such as Apache, Tomcat, messaging systems, Spring Boot, proxies, and bastion hosts.
    • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills in complex distributed systems.
    • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams.
    • Leadership mindset with experience mentoring junior engineers and contributing to technical direction.
