Workday Solutions Architect

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Workday Solutions Architect based in the United States.

This role is a senior client-facing architecture position focused on shaping, designing, and guiding end-to-end enterprise solutions built on modern HR and financial systems. You will act as a trusted Workday subject matter expert during pre-sales and early delivery phases, ensuring proposed solutions are both technically sound and aligned with business outcomes. The position blends solution architecture, advisory consulting, and hands-on implementation oversight across complex transformation programs. You will collaborate closely with sales, delivery, and leadership teams to define scope, estimate effort, and ensure seamless transitions from sales to execution. The role also involves mentoring junior consultants and contributing to internal capability building within the practice. This is a high-impact position where your architectural decisions directly influence large-scale enterprise transformation initiatives across global clients.

Accountabilities:

  • Lead end-to-end solution design activities during the sales and pre-sales lifecycle, ensuring Workday-based architectures align with client needs and delivery feasibility.
  • Act as a Workday subject matter expert, supporting business development efforts by qualifying opportunities and contributing to proposal development.
  • Support transition from sales to delivery by ensuring solution clarity, accurate scoping, and alignment with implementation teams.
  • Provide effort estimation, staffing input, and architectural guidance for complex Workday implementation programs.
  • Mentor and guide junior consultants, contributing to knowledge sharing, capability development, and team growth.
  • Collaborate with leadership to support marketing, client presentations, and industry events showcasing Workday solutions.
  • Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience in a relevant field.
    • 5+ years of hands-on Workday implementation experience across HR, Financial, or Student Information Systems.
    • Strong end-to-end implementation background with proven experience in enterprise-scale deployments.
    • Deep understanding of Workday architecture, configuration, and integration within complex business environments.
    • Experience supporting pre-sales activities including solution design, proposal development, and client presentations.
    • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to translate technical concepts into business value.
    • Demonstrated ability to mentor others and contribute to team development in a consulting or delivery environment.
