Sr. Network Engineer

Position Summary: CVS Pharmacy, Inc., a CVS Health company, is hiring for the following role in Woonsocket, RI: Sr. Network Engineer to ensure the security, stability, and efficiency of the network infrastructure. Duties include: Responsible for Network Security Design and Implementation, including design, configuration, and deployment of solutions to meet organizational security requirements. Develop and maintain network security policies, procedures, and configurations. Integrate network security systems with other security and networking technologies. Provide support for network incidents, including deep packet analysis and forensic investigation, as applicable. Perform root cause analysis on network incidents and develop action plans to mitigate future occurrences. Operate at the enterprise level responsible for executing a holistic strategy and tactical plan of implementation, as well as operationalizing investments which ultimately result in a resilient network architecture that is scalable to meet the growing business needs as well as lowered mean time to repair and time between incidents. Ensure that requirements (both business and technical) and use cases are collected with requirements defined to meet expectations in the most efficient and economical way possible. Establish testing strategy, standards and/or objectives in alignment with company enterprise IT objectives. Responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining high-performing network security systems. Monitor and maintain network systems to ensure optimal performance and security posture. Conduct regular assessments, testing, and remediation of identified issues. Responsible for network engineering implementation and design projects, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery. Document network designs, configurations, processes, and troubleshooting guides. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including IT, security, and operations, to align network security practices with business goals. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, providing updates on project progress, security incidents, and network performance. Ensure network systems adhere to industry best practices and compliance standards. Participate in audits and assessments, providing necessary documentation and support to auditors. Apply skills with enterprise network engineering implementation and design; deploying various tool sets which support monitoring and alerting across diverse platforms; advanced network engineering solutions utilizing various product platforms such as Cisco, F5, CheckPoint, Palo Alto, zScaler, NetBrain and NetScout; designing connectivity to public cloud services providers specifically AWS, Azure and GCP; and vendor management. Telecommuting available. Multiple positions. Requirements: Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, Engineering, Cyber Security and Information Assurance, or a related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation. Requires two (2) years of experience in each of the following: • Cisco NGFW; • Cisco ASA; • Terraform; • Cisco ISE; • Checkpoint NGFW; • Rest API’s; • IPSEC VPN; • Proxy Solution; • Network segmentation; • Wireshark; • SIEM; • MPLS; • DDI; and • Google Cloud Platform (GCP). Pay Range: $96762.00/year to $185400.00/year.

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
