Engineering Lab Manager, Platforms Infrastructure Engineering

Our efforts maximize resources, ensure product excellence, and accelerate time to market. The hardware solutions supported by the Product Infrastructure Engineering Test Infrastructure Network (PIE TIN) form the fundamental infrastructure of Google's Data Centers and Mini Clusters worldwide.

The ML, Systems, & Cloud AI (MSCA) organization at Google designs, implements, and manages the hardware, software, machine learning, and systems infrastructure for all Google services (Search, YouTube, etc.) and Google Cloud. Our end users are Googlers, Cloud customers and the billions of people who use Google services around the world.

We prioritize security, efficiency, and reliability across everything we do - from developing our latest TPUs to running a global network, while driving towards shaping the future of hyperscale computing. Our global impact spans software and hardware, including Google Cloud’s Vertex AI, the leading AI platform for bringing Gemini models to enterprise customers.Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

US: $188000 - $275000 (USD) + 20% bonus target + bonus + equity + benefits

Minimum qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or equivalent practical experience.
• 6 years of experience working in a lab environment.
• 3 years of experience in technical leadership.
  

Preferred qualifications:

• Certification in RHCE or CCNA.
• 7 years of experience working in an Engineering laboratory environment.
• Experience working with cross-functional teams on bring up tasks (e.g., hardware assembly, programming with hardware tools, and firmware updates).
• Experience managing and organizing lab inventory of consumables by lab users.
• Experience maintaining an organized, clean, and safe operating lab.
• Ability to multi-task in a changing environment.
