You will implement, and operate highly available, scalable cloud infrastructure across a multi-account AWS environment. Working closely with Engineering and Platform and Service Management teams, you will improve system reliability, performance, and operational efficiency while enabling teams to deploy and operate services safely at scale.
You will play a key role in building resilient platforms, improving observability, automating operations, and strengthening incident response practices to ensure critical services remain reliable and performant.
Key Responsibilities
- Build, and maintain secure CI/CD pipelines using CircleCI, embedding security controls and automated checks throughout the SDLC.
- Manage and secure AWS multi-account environments, including IAM, networking, logging, and guardrails aligned with least-privilege and zero-trust principles.
- Implement and operate cloud-native workloads using ECS and AWS Lambda, supporting services written in TypeScript OR Python.
- Integrate Snyk for dependency, container, and code scanning across repositories and pipelines.
- Operational support on Cloudflare for DNS, WAF, DDoS protection, and edge security controls.
- Establish monitoring, alerting, and observability using New Relic, including security-relevant metrics and dashboards.
- Collaborate with Security and Compliance teams to support audits, vulnerability management, and risk remediation.
- Support incident response, root cause analysis, and post-incident improvements related to security or pipeline failures.
- Continuously identify opportunities to improve automation, security posture, reliability, and developer experience.
About You
- Strong experience in AWS environments 4 - 5 Years of experience, preferably with multiple accounts and production-scale workloads.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD platforms such as CircleCI and GitHub Actions.
- Solid understanding of cloud security fundamentals, including IAM, network security, secrets management, and logging.
- Familiarity with containerized and serverless architectures (ECS, Lambda).
- Proficiency in TypeScript and/or Python for automation, tooling, or backend services.
- Experience working with observability tools such as New Relic and good understanding of SLO, SLI, SLA.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to influence engineering teams.
- Ready to participate in 24x7 production support for mission critical applications.
Desirable
- Hands-on experience with Cloudflare or a similar CDN/WAF (WAF rules, DNS, security policies) technology.
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CDK, or CloudFormation).
- Experience supporting or working with internal developer platforms or in-house tooling.
- Background in SRE, DevOps, or CloudOps roles.
