Devops Engineer - Cloud
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a DevOps Engineer – Cloud based in Brazil.
This is a senior-level remote DevOps role focused on leading large-scale cloud transformation initiatives in a high-impact, mission-driven environment.
You will play a key role in modernizing infrastructure by migrating workloads from AWS to Azure while ensuring reliability, scalability, and security across systems.
The role requires strong expertise in cloud architecture, Infrastructure as Code, and CI/CD pipeline optimization within complex enterprise environments.
You will work closely with engineering teams to redesign deployment workflows and drive the adoption of cloud-native practices using Kubernetes-based architectures.
A strong focus is placed on minimizing operational risk while improving performance, cost efficiency, and system resilience.
You will also contribute to building standardized frameworks and reusable infrastructure patterns for broader team adoption.

Accountabilities:
- Lead the migration of workloads from AWS to Azure using an AKS-first (Azure Kubernetes Service) approach.
- Design, implement, and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions for scalable Azure environments.
- Migrate and standardize CI/CD pipelines, ensuring efficiency, reliability, and consistency across deployments.
- Refactor legacy infrastructure into modern, cloud-native Azure architectures aligned with best practices.
- Define and execute migration strategies that minimize downtime and ensure secure rollback capabilities.
- Continuously optimize cloud infrastructure for cost efficiency, performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve deployment workflows and modernize platform operations.
- Document migration processes and create reusable templates and architectural standards for the organization.
- 7+ years of experience in DevOps and Cloud Engineering roles.
- Strong hands-on expertise with Azure (AKS, networking, IAM, monitoring) and AWS (EC2, EKS, IAM, networking).
- Proven experience designing and managing Infrastructure as Code using tools such as Terraform.
- Solid experience with CI/CD tools such as GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or similar platforms.
- Demonstrated track record of executing large-scale, real-world cloud migration projects.
- Deep understanding of containerization technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on system reliability and performance.
- Experience working in complex, distributed environments with cross-functional engineering teams.
- Nice to have: knowledge of multi-cloud strategies, cost optimization, security, compliance, and platform engineering practices.
