This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a System Administrator [Talents Bench] based in Brazil.
This role is part of a high-performance cloud and infrastructure environment supporting enterprise-grade, mission-critical applications hosted primarily on AWS. You will be responsible for ensuring systems remain secure, stable, scalable, and continuously optimized in a fast-paced managed services context. The position combines hands-on cloud infrastructure administration with automation, monitoring, and incident response responsibilities. You will work closely with engineering and DevOps teams to design, deploy, and maintain reliable cloud environments for global clients. The environment is fully remote and highly collaborative, with strong exposure to modern cloud-native technologies and best practices. This is a technical, impact-driven role where reliability, performance, and security are key to success.
Accountabilities
- Plan, document, and maintain cloud hosting architectures, including capacity planning, network design, and instance configuration.
- Build and deploy cloud infrastructure through installation, configuration, testing, and validation of AWS-based systems.
- Implement automation and configuration management to ensure repeatable, scalable, and traceable infrastructure changes.
- Monitor system health, performance, and availability, applying tuning and optimization where needed.
- Troubleshoot infrastructure issues across Linux systems, networks, applications, and cloud environments.
- Manage system security by implementing access controls, monitoring tools, and recommending improvements.
- Maintain up-to-date documentation for internal systems and client environments.
- Respond to incidents and support tickets in alignment with SLA requirements and operational priorities.
- Participate in a 24/7 on-call rotation to ensure operational continuity of critical systems.
- Collaborate with engineering teams to improve reliability, scalability, and operational efficiency of cloud environments.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience working with Amazon Web Services (AWS) in a system administration or infrastructure role.
- Strong knowledge of Linux system administration and troubleshooting in production environments.
- Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP and HTTP protocols.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python and/or Shell for automation tasks.
- Familiarity with infrastructure components such as load balancers, reverse proxies, CDNs, and web accelerators.
- Experience with monitoring, incident response, and performance optimization in cloud environments.
- Understanding of automation and configuration management principles.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced, agile environments.
- Good communication skills and a customer-oriented mindset.
- Advanced English proficiency (written and spoken) is required.
- Availability to participate in a rotating on-call schedule.
