Strategic DevSecOps Consultant

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Strategic DevSecOps Consultant based in the United States.

This role sits at the intersection of DevSecOps, platform engineering, and AI-driven software delivery transformation, working with enterprise organizations to redefine how modern software is built, secured, and operated. You will act as a trusted strategic advisor to engineering leaders and executive stakeholders, guiding large-scale transformation programs that improve developer productivity, security, and operational efficiency. The position blends high-level advisory work with hands-on technical engagement, including architecture design, proof-of-concepts, and troubleshooting complex delivery challenges. You will help organizations adopt cloud-native practices, intelligent automation, and emerging AI-assisted development models. Operating across diverse enterprise and regulated environments, you will influence both technology strategy and execution. This is a highly visible role where your work directly shapes modern software delivery practices at scale.

Accountabilities:

In this role, you will drive strategic and technical transformation across enterprise software delivery ecosystems:

  • Act as a trusted advisor to customers on DevSecOps, platform engineering, and AI-enabled software delivery strategies.
  • Lead discovery sessions, architecture workshops, and transformation roadmap development aligned to business outcomes.
  • Design and recommend scalable DevSecOps, CI/CD, and cloud-native architectures across enterprise environments.
  • Develop proofs of concept, reference architectures, and pilot solutions to demonstrate value and validate approaches.
  • Guide adoption of modern practices including GitOps, Infrastructure as Code, observability, and intelligent automation.
  • Partner with engineering, platform, and executive teams to align technology strategy with organizational goals.
  • Support customer escalations and critical delivery challenges through cross-functional coordination.
  • Act as the voice of the customer, influencing product direction and platform evolution.
  • Collaborate with internal teams including product, engineering, sales, and services to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Deliver thought leadership through presentations, workshops, and knowledge sharing initiatives.
  • Requirements:

    This role requires strong technical depth combined with consulting and customer-facing leadership experience:

    • 5+ years of experience in DevOps, platform engineering, SRE, solutions architecture, or technical consulting roles.
    • Proven experience leading DevSecOps or cloud transformation initiatives in enterprise environments.
    • Strong expertise in CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, GitOps, observability, and cloud-native architectures.
    • Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
    • Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
    • Proficiency in scripting or programming languages such as Python, Go, Java, or Shell.
    • Familiarity with CI/CD and DevOps tooling (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub, GitLab, Azure DevOps, or similar).
    • Understanding of AI-assisted development, automation workflows, or emerging intelligent engineering practices.
    • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage both technical and executive audiences.
    • Ability to translate complex technical challenges into clear business value and actionable strategies.
