This role focuses on the stability, performance, and evolution of enterprise Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) platforms that underpin critical engineering and manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for operating and optimizing large-scale Windchill or Teamcenter environments, ensuring high availability, strong performance, and seamless integrations across complex enterprise ecosystems. The position combines deep platform engineering with infrastructure reliability, covering upgrades, migrations, tuning, and automation. You will collaborate closely with engineering, manufacturing, and IT stakeholders to ensure PLM systems remain resilient, secure, and scalable. The environment is highly technical and operationally focused, requiring strong ownership and disciplined engineering practices. This is a hands-on role where your work directly impacts product data integrity and global engineering workflows.

Accountabilities:

  • Install, configure, and operate Windchill or Teamcenter platforms across dev, test, and production environments.
  • Lead PLM upgrades, patches, migrations, and version transitions with minimal operational disruption.
  • Manage application servers, web servers, database connectivity, and core PLM services.
  • Operate file vaults, replication services, and CAD data management infrastructure.
  • Design and implement HA/DR strategies to ensure platform resilience and business continuity.
  • Optimize system performance through JVM tuning, caching strategies, indexing, and query optimization.
  • Manage security configurations, user provisioning, and audit/compliance requirements.
  • Support PLM integrations using middleware, brokers, and enterprise connectivity tools.
  • Develop automation scripts using shell, Python, or Ansible to reduce operational overhead.
  • Monitor platform health and proactively resolve performance or stability issues.
  • Provide post-go-live and hypercare support, including incident triage and root cause analysis.
  • Maintain comprehensive technical documentation including architecture, runbooks, and operational procedures.
  • Mentor engineers and contribute to continuous platform and process improvements.
  • Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field.
    • 5+ years of PLM platform administration experience.
    • Hands-on experience with Windchill or Siemens Teamcenter in production environments.
    • Strong background in PLM upgrades, migrations, and large-scale platform operations.
    • Solid knowledge of Oracle or SQL Server database administration.
    • Strong Linux/Unix system administration skills.
    • Experience implementing HA/DR strategies for enterprise platforms.
    • Familiarity with PLM integration frameworks and middleware solutions.
    • Proficiency in scripting (Shell, Python, or Ansible) for automation and tooling.
    • Strong troubleshooting, debugging, and documentation skills.
    • Experience with cloud-hosted PLM environments (AWS, Azure, or OCI) is a plus.
    • Exposure to infrastructure-as-code and CI/CD practices for PLM systems is an advantage.
