This role sits at the core of enterprise-scale cloud engineering, focused on building and evolving platform capabilities that enable fast, secure, and reliable software delivery across multiple engineering teams.
You will design and standardize cloud infrastructure patterns, automation frameworks, and CI/CD systems that directly impact product reliability and developer productivity.
The position requires strong technical leadership, combining hands-on engineering with architectural influence across distributed systems and cloud environments.
You will drive improvements in scalability, observability, security, and cost efficiency for mission-critical healthcare technology platforms.
Working across engineering, security, and product teams, you will help define how modern cloud-native systems are built and operated at scale.
This is a fully remote role offering high impact across enterprise infrastructure and customer-facing systems.
Accountabilities:
- Own and drive the delivery of scalable platform solutions across multiple teams, ensuring alignment with business goals, reliability standards, and customer impact.
- Define and standardize Infrastructure as Code (IaC) practices, reusable modules, and automation frameworks to improve consistency, security, and operational efficiency.
- Lead the design and implementation of CI/CD pipelines and delivery systems that improve deployment speed, quality, and developer experience.
- Architect resilient, multi-region cloud systems and global networking patterns that enhance availability, disaster recovery, and performance.
- Embed security, compliance, and governance principles into cloud architecture, ensuring secure-by-design infrastructure and risk mitigation.
- Develop observability and telemetry standards, including SLOs, alerting strategies, and monitoring frameworks to improve system reliability and incident response.
- Influence cloud cost optimization strategies through tagging standards, monitoring, and automation to ensure efficient and sustainable platform usage.
- Mentor and coach engineers, elevating technical standards and helping teams adopt scalable platform practices.
- Collaborate across engineering and leadership stakeholders to align priorities, resolve technical dependencies, and drive cross-team execution.
Requirements:
- 7+ years of experience in software engineering, infrastructure engineering, or related technical roles.
- 5+ years of experience in cloud, DevOps, or platform engineering environments.
- Strong expertise with cloud platforms such as AWS or Microsoft Azure.
- Proven experience designing and operating Infrastructure as Code solutions using modern automation tools and scripting languages.
- Hands-on experience building and maintaining secure CI/CD pipelines and enterprise-grade delivery systems.
- Deep understanding of high availability, disaster recovery, and multi-region architecture design.
- Experience implementing secure cloud baselines, hybrid networking, and cross-team platform standardization.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to guide technical direction under ambiguity and across multiple teams.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies and version control systems.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence engineering and business stakeholders.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred; advanced cloud certifications are a plus.
