[EHV] Embedded Software Specialist (HSW)

Job Summary
- The HSW Specialist serves as a technical expert and key contributor in the design, development, integration, and optimization of Hardware Software (HSW) components for automotive embedded systems (e.g., brake, steering, and other safety-critical ECUs);
- In addition to leading complex technical activities, the role drives architecture decisions, requirement analysis, problem resolution, and technology improvements across multiple projects;
- The HSW Specialist provides technical mentorship, ensures compliance with automotive standards and ASPICE processes, and collaborates with global cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, robust, and reliable software solutions for safety-critical automotive applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the analysis of system and software requirements, and define Hardware Software (HSW) solutions for complex automotive embedded systems;
- Drive the design, development, integration, and optimization of HSW components and configurations within complete software for Brake, Steering, and other safety-critical ECU platforms;
- Own the Hardware Configuration strategy, software adaptation, and variant management across multiple projects, ensuring scalability and reusability;
- Demonstrate strong experience in datasheet analysis and schematic review to understand hardware behavior and define software configurations;
- Lead complex hardware-software debugging, root cause analysis, and resolution of critical technical issues, providing guidance to engineering teams;
- Review software design, implementation, and verification activities to ensure high-quality, maintainable, and compliant HSW solutions;
- Collaborate with global cross-functional teams, customers, and stakeholders to drive technical alignment, architecture decisions, and successful project delivery;
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including HSW architecture, development processes, tooling, automation, and engineering best practices;
- Ensure compliance with automotive development processes (ASPICE, ISO 26262…); a background in hardware engineering is a strong advantage.
- Major in Computer Engineering/Information Technology/ Electrical-Electronics/ Electronics-Telecommunication/Mechatronics Engineering/Automotive or related fields;
- Have 6-10 years of experience in Embedded system;
- 1 – 2 years of People management experience is Preferred;
- Good programming language: C/C++, Scripting, UML…;
- Good Knowledge of Micro-controller and Embedded system;
- Experience in Software Development Lifecycle;
- Experience in emulators, simulators, debugging;
- Self-driven and strong inter-personal skills;
- Good teamwork, time management, stakeholders’ management, decision-making skills;
- Good at team engagement, motivation and competency build-up;
- Good English language skills (Listening, Speaking, Reading and Writing);
- It would be BIG advantage if you have:
- Automotive domain knowledge;
- Hardware knowledge: Schematic, uC, PowerIC, Sensor: Wheel speed sensor, Yawrate sensor, Pressure sensor, Motor (DC, EC, Brushless),…;
- Holding experience at team management.
