As an Embedded Software Specialist – Sensor Signal Processing (SSP) for Automotive Applications (e.g. ABS, ESP, iBooster, DPB, IPB, etc.), your main responsibilities include:
- Analyze customer requirements and take ownership of assigned SSP functions.
- Breakdown, tailor, and develop System, Function, and Software requirements, including functional safety aspects.
- Develop System/Function Design and Software Requirement Specifications.
- Allocate requirements to software components and support implementation activities.
- Define verification criteria and develop/adapt test specifications (e.g. System, VTC) based on system requirements.
- Perform requirement-based verification and evaluate test results.
- Analyze and resolve technical issues reported by project stakeholders and customers.
- Lead failsafe discussions and drive technical alignment across global project teams.
- Support Functional Safety activities and ensure compliance with project and quality requirements.

- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Automotive Engineering, Automation Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Telecommunications, Computer Engineering, or related fields.
- 7+ years of professional experience in automotive software development or similar areas.
- Strong knowledge of embedded software development and model-based development methodologies.
- Good understanding of automotive software architecture and software development lifecycle.
- Experience in requirements engineering, system design, and software specification development.
- Experience in software verification, validation, and test specification development.
- Knowledge of Functional Safety (ISO 26262) and safety-related software development.
- Good understanding of signal processing, sensors, and automotive control systems.
- Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Fluent English communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with braking and vehicle dynamics functions (ABS, ESP, AEB, ACC, etc.).
- Experience with ASCET, MATLAB/Simulink, or similar development tools.
- Understanding of ASPICE, V-model, and software review processes.
- Japanese language skills are a plus.
