And now, we are looking for a Software Engineering Manager – Agentic QE who is prepared to contribute to the next chapter of our company's growth.
You came up through software engineering, moved into automation and quality, and have been the de-facto quality authority on your team before you had the title. You think in systems, you stay hands-on, and you're genuinely excited about what agentic AI means for how software gets built and validated. This role is for you.
As Software Engineering Manager – Agentic QE, you will lead a team of 6–10 Automation Quality Engineers, own our existing automation estate, and drive a deliberate transition from deterministic pipelines toward autonomous test agents.
What you'll own:
Define quality architecture: frameworks, toolchain, and the roadmap from traditional automation to agentic solutions — quality built into the system, not bolted on at the end
Lead, mentor, and grow a team of 6–10 AQEs, running hands-on pilots alongside them as the team evolves
Own and evolve the existing test automation framework (Java/JS · Selenium · Playwright) — refactor what needs it, retire what doesn't
Co-design deterministic and LLM-assisted agent workflows with engineering leaders, with clear human-in-the-loop governance where it matters
Build observability and reporting tooling: coverage dashboards, flakiness detection, CI quality gates — visibility that engineers actually trust
Validate AI-powered product features: behavioral testing, non-deterministic regression, and output evaluation for the product's own agentic capabilities
Build internal tooling that makes the broader engineering org faster and more quality-conscious, not just the QE team
What you'll need:
7+ years in software engineering with a clear arc toward quality leadership — you came from engineering, not QA management
5+ years hands-on with Java and/or JavaScript/TypeScript, deep enough to design novel solutions, not just configure existing ones
3+ years directly managing engineers: hiring, performance, and technical direction — not matrix influence or team lead coordination
Proven track record of driving a quality or engineering transformation top-down: you set the direction, got buy-in, and shipped an org-wide program
Hands-on experience building agentic or LLM-assisted systems in production — pipelines you wrote, not tools you evaluated
Solid automation architecture skills: you design frameworks and coding pipelines, not just write tests
Familiarity with agentic/LLM concepts: evaluating model outputs, handling non-determinism, agent orchestration patterns
CI/CD integration, shift-left thinking, and quality-by-design fluency
English B2+
What helps you rock:
Background in backend or systems engineering before moving into quality leadership
Experience transitioning a team away from legacy QA processes toward engineering-first quality practices
Exposure to CI-integrated AI pipelines that go from spec to test implementation, not just test case generation
