Key responsibilities:
Partner with teams and individuals to address new business and engineering priorities and challenges.
Define, track, and deliver projects within agreed budgets and timelines.
Coach, develop, and support team members to strengthen performance and growth.
Serve as a key liaison between business and engineering stakeholders.
Manage internal and external stakeholders effectively, as required.
Identify delivery and operational risks and implement mitigation plans.
Prepare and deliver regular management updates and reports.
Essential skills and / or certifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field required.
10+ years of experience in software development.
7+ years of experience managing software development teams with several recent years managing multiple teams working on different initiatives.
Some hands-on software development experience in languages such as Java or Python.
Working knowledge of databases, cloud technologies, APIs, user interfaces and other core software development concepts.
Strong communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with developers and senior stakeholders.
Data engineering knowledge and practical experience.
Experience with Agile and Scrum methodologies, with familiarity in traditional Waterfall.
People management skills.
