About the role - What you need to know:
Collection Supervisor is responsible for Reporting and Analysis: Preparing regular reports on key operational metrics and presenting them to senior management. Additionally, this role analyzes data and provides insights to support strategic decision making and drive operational improvements. The supervisor must ensure that financial information is delivered in a timely manner to the corporate, through the finance center or accounting area. It will also respond to requirements from local authorities and/or internal or external audits.
This position will collaborate with other departments, such as Distribution, Finance, and Lines of business, to ensure seamless coordination and alignment of operational activities with broader organizational goals.
This role also include:
- Team Leadership: Providing effective leadership, conducting regular performance evaluations, fostering a positive work environment and development of people.
- Develop and implement strategies to optimize collections management.
- Reviewing, approving and signing off accounting records related to collections
- Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with our clients (internal and external)
- Provide customer service, resolve situations presented by producers, insured and internal clients, related to premium payments, such as attention to unrecognized charges, duplicate charges and other collection questions
- Performance Monitoring: monitoring the performance of collections team, tracking key metrics, such as aging reports, Bad debt reserve and recovery ratios. Analyze data to identify trends, areas for improvements and implement new strategies to enhance overall performance.
- Follow up of premium receivables / paid premiums, monitoring the monthly cash budget.
- Process Improvement: Continuously assessing and improving collections process to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Streamline and optimize operational processes across different departments, ensuring maximum productivity.
- Training Producers and Distribution teammates
- Reporting and Analysis: Generating regular reports and KPI
- Compliance: ensuring compliance with regulations and company policies in all collections activities.
- Working with the best practices and regulatory changes, implementing necessary adjustments to maintain legal collections practices.
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field of study
- This position suits candidates with at least 3 years as a Supervisor/Coordinator or in a similar position in the insurance industry as well as work related responsibilities.
- Good knowledge in insurance Finance/Accounting and Collections processes
- Willing to Collaborate with stakeholders to identify reporting needs and developing custom reports to meet those needs.
- Capacity to analyze and interpret data to identify trends, opportunities, and risks.
- Proficient in using Power BI, MS Office, advance Excel (macros) – a must; Access, Data mining
- CRM software experience
- Financial Insurance Analysis related to collections
- Strong customer service and client relationship building skills
- Ability to lead and develop the team
- English level knowledge: intermediate
- General understanding of accounts receivable and billing processing.
