Warranty Claims Assessor

The role involves end‑to‑end assessment of warranty claims across global markets, ensuring compliance with policy, accuracy of adjudication, and adherence to global turnaround time and quality targets. The position also contributes to standardizing claim assessment rules, identifying system and process gaps, and driving corrective actions to minimize financial risk.

  • Assess and adjudicate Level 1 and Level 2 warranty claims for the assigned commodity across global markets.
  • Ensure 100% capacity utilization and process all assigned claims within 3 business days, meeting global turnaround time targets.
  • Maintain claim quality at or above 98% in line with global standards.
  • Maintain an appropriate claim mix proportional to intake volumes for the assigned commodity.
  • Review and discuss aged claims with markets on a weekly basis and drive corrective actions.
  • Assess claims in line with warranty policy and provide recommendations for policy improvements where applicable.
  • Perform claim adjudication feedback analysis, conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for adjudicator errors, and implement corrective and preventive action plans.
  • Respond to queries from markets and customers regarding assessed claims and claim procedures.
  • Analyze claim patterns and support the setup and refinement of system rules and selection parameters to ensure correct claim payments.
  • Perform random audits of system‑paid claims to validate accuracy.
  • Identify system‑driven incorrect payments with financial impact, analyze root causes, communicate impact to markets, and raise requests for system corrections.
  • Analyze monthly appeal claims and classify them into: 
    • System‑related issues
    • Dealer‑related issues
    • Adjudicator‑related issues
  • For adjudicator‑related appeals, conduct RCA and implement action plans to prevent recurrence.
  • Provide inputs to standardize claim assessment steps, rules, best practices, and cost optimization opportunities across global markets.
  • Proactively identify risks, concerns, and improvement opportunities in claim controls and escalate them to team leads.

Education

  • Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering / Automobile Engineering / Automobile Technology

Experience

  • 5–10 years of experience in an automotive dealership or warranty environment
  • Preferred background as a Master Technician or equivalent technical expert
  • Prior experience in warranty claims assessment or adjudication is strongly preferred
