Position Overview
Our company’s Global Business Solutions (GBS) team manages end-to-end Source to Settle (StS) processes, including vendor setup, purchasing, invoicing, and payments.
The Associate Specialist, Global Payments supports the execution of standard global payment processes, ensuring payments are processed accurately, on time, and in compliance with policies and controls. Working within a global team, this role handles day-to-day payment activities, including standard, urgent, and off-cycle payments.
The role also focuses on identifying process improvements, supporting automation and standardization efforts, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to enhance efficiency and consistency across markets.
Key Responsibilities
Execute global payment processes, including standard and urgent payments
Perform payment pre-checks to ensure accuracy and reduce rejections
Monitor payment runs and promptly escalates exceptions
Support out-of-cycle and urgent payment requests
Maintain proper documentation and audit trails for all payments
Identify trends, issues, and root causes of payment delays
Collaborate with Accounts Payable, Treasury, IT, and other stakeholders to resolve issues
Support process improvement, automation, and standardization initiatives
Contribute to knowledge sharing, documentation, and training materials
Deliver high-quality service to internal and external stakeholders
Ensure compliance with global policies, controls, and audit requirements
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree (or near completion) in Finance, Business, or related field
1+ year of experience in Finance, Accounting, Shared Services, or StS (preferred)
Basic understanding of Source to Settle or payment processes
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills
Good communication and stakeholder collaboration skills
Proactive with a continuous improvement mindset
Technical Skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
SAP and Ariba experience required
Strong organizational and communication skills
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
