Why you’ll love this role

You’ll be at the center of StockX’s international accounting and finance operations, owning end-to-end accounting and compliance for both our India and Hong Kong entities and contributing to our global close and consolidation process. As one of the first accounting hires in Bangalore, you’ll have a unique opportunity to shape how our regional finance function is built and scaled. You’ll work closely with international colleagues across the UK, US, and Asia-Pacific, with real ownership of statutory compliance and reporting, US GAAP close, and cross-border functional coordination.

What you’ll do

Monthly Close & GAAP Reporting

  • Lead the full month-end close process for the India and Hong Kong entities, including journal entries, accruals, account reconciliations and reporting in accordance with US GAAP
  • Manage and record statutory adjustments for the India and Hong entities on a monthly basis
  • Partner with the International Accounting lead (UK) and Global Controller (US) to ensure timely and accurate reporting into the consolidated global ledger
  • Coordinate with the  Technical Accounting teams in the US to resolve intercompany and cross-border accounting matters
  • Provide regional AP support for India-based vendor invoices, expense processing, and payment coordination, working in close partnership with the Global AP Manager (US)

Statutory & Local Compliance

  • Own statutory accounting and financial reporting for the India entity in compliance with Indian GAAP / Ind AS, Companies Act requirements, and applicable regulatory filings
  • Manage statutory accounting and reporting for the Hong Kong entity in accordance with Hong Kong Financial Reporting Standards (HKFRS) and Companies Ordinance requirements
  • Coordinate with external auditors and local statutory advisors for year-end audits in both jurisdictions
  • Support local tax filings in partnership with StockX’s Tax team, including GST/VAT compliance in India and relevant CIT and periodic tax filings in Hong Kong

Controls, Process & Systems

  • Maintain a strong internal control environment across your areas, ensuring documentation and compliance with StockX’s global accounting policies
  • Support ERP and close management system usage (Workday, Ramp, FloQast) and drive process improvements to enhance efficiency and accuracy
  • Assist with internal and external audit requests across both India and Hong Kong entities

About you:

  • 10+ years of progressive accounting experience, including meaningful responsibility for full-cycle close and financial reporting
  • Qualified Accountant (CA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent) designation is required
  • Hands-on experience with Indian statutory accounting (Ind AS / Indian GAAP, Companies Act, GST) is required
  • Familiarity with Hong Kong statutory requirements (HKFRS, Companies Ordinance) is strongly preferred; willingness to develop this expertise is essential
  • Working knowledge of US GAAP and experience operating within a US-headquartered multinational organization
  • Strong proficiency in ERP systems (Workday FINS experience a plus) and Excel/Google Sheets
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills, with comfort working across global, cross-timezone teams
  • High degree of ownership and accountability — able to work independently, manage deadlines, and proactively escalate issues

Nice to have:

  • Accounting leadership experience at a US-headquartered multinational company, including ownership of international subsidiary reporting and cross-border coordination
  • Experience in a startup, scale-up, or fast-paced e-commerce environment
  • Exposure to intercompany accounting and transfer pricing in a multi-entity global structure
  • Experience supporting ERP implementations or system migrations
  • Background supporting Big 4 or large regional firm audits
