Position Responsibilities:
The accountant is responsible for the review of day-to-day bookkeeping tasks of the clients that have been assigned to the team.
The accountant is also responsible in understanding cryptocurrency transactions including but not limited to buying, selling, swaps, and wrapping of digital assets in a crypto accounting software. Reconciling wallets to on-chain balances is also being performed on a monthly basis to maintain the accuracy and completeness of records.
The accountant review and manages the processing of bills/receipts paid in fiat and cryptocurrency via any third-party web-based application of the clients in either Bill.com, Ramp, Brex, Dext etc.
Review of monthly amortization of prepaid expenses and depreciation of client’s assets.
Review of payroll journal entries from the integrated payroll software or from posted manual transaction journal entry.
During the month-end closing, the accountant is responsible for the review of reconciliation page in any accounting software, review and update of the working papers, and posting of necessary adjusting entries in the books. This also includes review of Financial Reports with trend analysis and cash runway, depending on the client’s need.
Stay up-to-date with relevant accounting standards, laws and regulations governing digital assets and ensure client’s compliance.
Thorough review of team member’s work and consider possible adjustments
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or any related field
At least 3 years of working experience in the BPO industry.
Experience in using payroll software, XERO and QBO required
Has a strong understanding on cryptocurrency or blockchain technology
Experience in handling clients that involves cryptocurrency transactions is preferred
A licensed CPA is an advantage
Can lead, communicate clearly and effectively
