Get to Know the Role

As member of the Grab PH FP&A team, you will sit at the unique intersection of data, operations, and strategy. You will be the financial anchor for a dynamic matrix of internal business products (Mobility, Deliveries, or Financial Services), managing an ecosystem of cross-functional leaders and Regional partners.

Whether you are executing a flawless month-end close or sitting across from a business head to challenge an operational strategy, your focus will always be on driving commercial agility, statutory compliance, and structural profitability.

The Critical Tasks You Will Perform

  • Financial Co-Piloting & Vertical Ownership: Act as the primary finance partner and guardian for specific business lines. Translate monthly financial data into a compelling commercial story, providing the critical business "So What?" to operations teams.
  • Flawless Execution & Data Hygiene: Own the end-to-end execution of the Month-End Close (MEC) process within your scope. Maintain absolute mastery over spreadsheets and Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) systems to ensure zero-error reporting.
  • The Challenger Cadence: Move beyond simply promoting local budgets. Actively interview operational teams, identify ledger variances, and push commercial leads to find margin expansion and leaner execution roadmaps.
  • Agile Financial Modeling: Build robust "What-If" and predictive financial models. Balance rigorous analytical perfection with commercial speed-to-market—knowing when to deliver an 80% directionally accurate model today to capture a market window versus a 100% report tomorrow.
  • Digital-First Innovation: Spearhead Grab's priority of reducing manual recurring tasks. Actively apply AI and automation tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Gemini, Notebook AI) to build automated, live P&L views without ever compromising ledger and audit compliance.
  • Strategic Tax Integration & Cash Flow Optimization: Move beyond pure tax compliance to act as a strategic partner to the business. Model the P&L impacts of new product launches with built-in tax optimization strategies from day one. Engage with business leaders before forecasts are finalized to assess the tax impact of growth initiatives and help replicate complex financial engineering strategies that unlock bottom-line value.

What Essential Skills You Will Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accountancy, Economics, or a quantitative field. Professional certifications (CPA, CFA, CMA) will be an advantage.
  • 5 or more years of experience working within tech, fast-moving corporate environments, or matrixed multinational companies is highly preferred.
  • Financial Modeling & Systems: Proficiency in advanced financial modeling, spreadsheet manipulation, and EPM/ERP systems. Demonstrated ability to build agile forecasting, scenario planning, and "What-If" infrastructure.
  • Understanding of corporate P&L navigation, unit economics, platform dynamics (supply, demand, and incentive structures), and foundational corporate tax/treasury possible effects.
  • Digital-First Capability involves hands-on experience. This experience is with utilizing data automation or AI tools. Examples of these tools include SQL, Python, or generative AI coding/analysis tools. The goal is to eliminate manual workflows.
