Meet Our Team:
The Commerce organization is part of WBD’s Global Tech division and powers critical business capabilities across subscriptions, customer engagement, retention, marketing automation, data analytics, and CRM platforms. Our teams build and operate scalable solutions that support global marketing operations and customer experiences across multiple regions.
As part of the Messaging - Engagement & Automations Engineering team, you will work closely with engineers, product managers, designers, and stakeholders across the US, Europe, and India to build interactive web applications, internal platforms, and backend services that support marketing and customer engagement initiatives at scale.
Our team owns the complete software development lifecycle—from architecture and design to implementation, deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement.
Role & Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and maintain modern web applications using React, TypeScript, JavaScript, and Node.js.
• Build scalable Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) services, APIs, and integrations.
• Drive frontend architecture decisions and engineering best practices.
• Build and evolve reusable UI component libraries and design systems.
• Partner with Product, UX, and Design teams.
• Participate in wireframing, prototyping, and implementation of branded user interfaces.
• Contribute to cloud-native application architecture leveraging AWS services.
• Work with different database technologies.
• Implement Unit, Integration, and End-to-End testing.
• Drive code reviews, architectural reviews, and engineering standards.
• Mentor engineers and technical leadership.
• Troubleshoot production issues and improve system reliability.
• Collaborate effectively with distributed global teams.
• Contribute to Agile/Scrum ceremonies and improve engineering practices.
• Take ownership of projects from concept through production.
What You'll Bring:
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• 5 - 8 years of professional software development experience.
• Strong expertise in JavaScript and TypeScript.
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with the MERN stack.
• Extensive experience with React, Next.js, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Strong understanding of front-end engineering principles and performance optimization.
• Experience building APIs and Backend-for-Frontend services using Node.js.
• Experience with AWS and serverless architectures.
• Experience with DynamoDB and MongoDB.
• Experience with GitHub Actions and CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with Jest, Playwright, and automated testing frameworks.
• Strong analytical, debugging, and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience building dashboards, monitoring, and analytics tools.
• Familiarity with design systems and component-driven development.
• Experience using Figma and collaborating with UX teams.
• Experience building scalable cloud-native applications.
• Exposure to global engineering teams.
