From automating processes to leveraging smart factory technologies, robotics, and additive manufacturing, GE Aerospace is shaping the future of aviation at GE Aerospace Engine Services Singapore (GEAESS).
GEAESS is our largest site for engine component Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO), responsible for more than 60% of our global repair volume.
Role Overview:
Adhere to all safety regulations and quality standards in a manufacturing environment.
Collaborate with welding engineers, manufacturing engineers, welders, and inspectors.
Incorporate clearer visual references, photos of acceptable weld conditions, golden sample examples, improved fixture setup guidance, and clear tack welding steps into the welding procedures and documentation.
Focus on manual GTAW operations in the CFM cell and automated GTAW operations in the GEnx cell.
Conduct material characterization and mechanical testing of welded joints to evaluate performance and integrity.
Apply FLIGHT DECK to improve standard work, enhance visual work instructions, and reduce process variation.
Ideal Candidate
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, along with strong written and verbal communication in English. Comfortable working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Required Qualifications
Currently pursuing a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, Manufacturing or any related engineering courses.
