Job Description
• This role involves mechanical design and component ownership of Compressor Airfoil components.
• Project scope includes NPIs, services programs, Product Cost-Out, supply chain activities for new designs.
• Design, analyze, and evaluate assigned projects by applying sound engineering principles while maintaining compliance with business standards, procedures, and product/program requirements.
• Drive engineering deliverables by establishing project schedules for design reviews and analysis. Partner cross-functionally with manufacturing, materials, and drafting to issue compressor hardware product definitions.
• Integrate Lean principles and continuous improvement practices. Create standardized workflows and identify innovative approaches to enhance processes and design methodologies.
• Build engagement with Fleet and DLE teams. Keep abreast of ongoing field and manufacturing issues
• Developing in-depth knowledge of a discipline. Uses prior experience and acquired expertise to execute functional policy/strategy.
• Utilizes technical expertise and judgement to solve problems. Leverages technical skills and analytic thinking required to solve problems. May use multiple internal sources outside of own team to arrive at decisions.
• Provides informal guidance to new team members. Explains complex information to others in straightforward situations.
• Support & involvement in broad company-wide initiatives in support of GE Gas Power business objectives (i.e.P2V, Lean and Problem Solving)

Required Qualifications
• Master’s or bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited university or college; or relevant experience that would be equal to a bachelor's degree.
• 3+ years of Gas Turbine engineering experience.
Desired Characteristics
• Experience in Gas turbine component design and analysis
• Advanced engineering degree from an accredited university or college.
• Proficient with ANSYS, NX, and other analytical tools.
• Understanding of GD&T and ability to interpret engineering drawings & BOMs.
• Strong organizational & communication skills.
• Humble, open, and a continuous learner. Able to collaborate across global teams.
• Ability to rapidly change directions for multiple concurrent projects based on emergent business priorities.
