Sr. Piping Engineer (with Fire Protection Piping Experience)

Role Summary

Responsible for piping design and field engineering with specialized experience in firewater systems (hydrants, monitors, deluge, sprinkler networks) according to SAES‑B and NFPA standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review piping layouts, isometrics, P&IDs, stress analysis, valve lists, and material specifications.
  • Design and review firewater piping networks per SAES‑B‑017, NFPA 13/15/24, and relevant standards.
  • Prepare MTOs, material requisitions, and technical evaluations for valves, piping materials, and fire systems.
  • Provide technical support during construction, hydrotesting, tie-ins, and commissioning.
  • Coordinate with civil, mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation disciplines.
  • Resolve site issues by responding to TQs, RFI, and modification requests.
  • Participate in HAZOP, 3D model reviews, and safety sessions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 7–12 years’ piping engineering experience, including fire system design.
  • Strong knowledge of SAES‑B, ASME B31.3, NFPA fire standards, and Aramco engineering workflows.
