Our team is seeking a temporary Hardware Quality Engineer with hands-on hardware quality inspection experience to become a key part of Operations Quality Team. Here at Raytheon, our Operations Quality Team assures product and process quality with an emphasis on Product Compliance, Customer Satisfaction and Continuous Improvement. This position is an onsite role in Chambersburg, PA

What You Will Do 

  • Perform all aspects of mechanical and visual inspection, count, and compliance to purchase order’s quality requirements as well as Raytheon drawings and Mil-Spec requirements, using a variety of measuring hand tools such as calipers.
  • Identify Non-Conforming Material at inspection for proper disposition.
  • Perform DD250 Sell-Off to Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA)
  • Perform visual inspection of materials from returned from Radar Sites, other Raytheon and Non-Raytheon locations for count and condition and accuracy of incoming documentation.

Qualifications You Must Have 

  • Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and less than 2 years of relevant prior experience
  • Experience with SAP and/or PRISM
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Automated Logistics Control System (ALCS) experience
  • Prior experience with hardware inspection and validation
  • Experience working with AS9100 and/or ISO9001 Quality Management System
  • Experience conducting root cause analysis and corrective action (RCCA)
  • Read and follow prints, drawings, and industry specifications

This is a temporary position of undetermined length.

The hourly rate for this role is $27.50 to $52.30. The compensation range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
